I just received an email with the introduction of Eckhart Tolle TV, which he opens with the Headline “Welcome to the present moment”. It’s an attempt to use the internet more to teach spirituality and the growth of consciousness.
-> Take a Look at Eckhart Tolle TV.
If you liked the post, please share it on your fave social site. I really appreciate it! :)

Thanks for the recommendation Myrko! Eckhart Tolle TV sounds quite revolutionary.

I think it’s a very good idea, and an obvious one for the internet. A “real” TV show would be revolutionary :) I hope it gets a lot of attention, it’s worth it.
Wow! The opening sounds appealing already. I will definitely check that out!
I just finished watching all 3 videos. It was definitely deep, touching, and moving. It reassured me of my beliefs and how we are one with the universe.
I must agree deeply with his interpretation of responsibility. I have always felt that I do not want to enter this world and then leave this world in a much worse form. I do not believe in leaving a huge carbon footprint because of my presence here. I have been a “green” movement fanatic before it became a marketing tactic. I feel that we need to do our part in our world. Even if our friends and neighbors are doing otherwise, I feel that we should continue to do our part and play our role. Maybe we’ll eventually set a good example that everyone can follow. I believe every small step helps and I strive to continue trying to help make our home and environment a better place.
His interpretation of the future is similar to my perspectives on 2012. 2012 has been represented in the media as something with huge negative impacts on our lives. My perspectives of is it, that we’re heading into a state of change and it’s not necessarily bad at all. I see it as a worldwide spiritual awakening. Let me paste to you an excerpt from this article I read a while back about 2012.
The 2012 Connection
First a bit about 2012, a date many have heard about. According to Carlos Barrios, anthropologist, historian, and investigator who was initiated as a Mayan ceremonial priest and spiritual guide, “Anthropologists visit the temple sites and read the inscriptions . . . but they do not read the signs correctly. . . . Other people write about prophecy in the name of the Maya. They say that the world will end in December 2012. The Mayan elders are angry with this. The world will not end. It will be transformed.”
Carlos Barrios goes on to say that the transformation will be both spiritual and physical. The transition started in 1987. He says that we are in a spiritual transition from the rule of materialism, greed, and enmity to a new period of cooperation and peace – but not without difficulty. The current oligarchy is happy with what they have and don’t want to give it up, and they are powerful. The Mayans claim that 2012 marks the end of the period of the fourth sun and the beginning of the fifth sun.
Carlos points out that adversarial revolution against the ruling class will not work. It is up to those who want this shift to connect with others of like mind and begin actively creating networks of real cooperation. The old will crumble. The new period will dawn with its growing pains, the severity of which depends on our ability to accept what is happening and go with the flow. This, he says, requires evolving to unconditional love, with an open and simple heart, forgiveness, and cooperation with less ego competition.
Thanks for sharing these videos! In a way, I’m kind of excited the future and its outcomes. Time will tell! (;
Tolle often states that he believes humanity has two options: evolve in consciousness or die (self-destruct or destruct the earth eventually). It may be that the next years will force people to such changes, because they recognize that it is going to be fatal otherwise.
I’m also very connected to the internet and technology “scene” and it is no secret at all that we are developing information technology at an increasingly rapid rate. Ray Kurzweil is very respected in that area (s. http://www.kurzweilai.net ) and he literally “calculates” the future events that will be a huge challenge and have huge opportunities for humanity. For instance nano-technology has the potential for an unbelievable change, where most material things can become something given for all. The Singularity ( http://singularity.com ) is a point when technological progress – driven mostly by artificial intelligence – will be at it’s most rapid. That can’t be 2012, because that is much too early…
I personally don’t think about 2012 and I don’t really expect anything special. Except some really cool movies … ;) The evolution will continue and we have a special part in it. That is the important and exciting thing :)
I don’t necessary mean “2012″ as in the year 2012. When I think about “2012″, I think about the near future and where we’re headed.
Our technology is advancing so fast; it’s amazing! I feel that we’re far more capable than we think. There is a lot of greed of money and power involved in our current society, but I feel that’s going to change and eventually we will put our advancements to good use.
Thanks for sharing about technology and its future. I’ll look into those sites. It sounds fascinating!

I agree with taney, where there is an end there is a new beginning. 2012, in the sense of a near future, would be the end of something bad, but in a new thought or in a new light, something new has arrived. A new state of thought after the occurrence because like eckhart said “what happened is not the present” the space of where it happened is.” The near future is not looking swell but that does not mean you as a person in the near future is going to be worse off than how you are now. Greatness comes from tragedy overtime.
I agree with the message about the collapse of the world as we know it. I really don’t thinks it is going to be as dramatic as it sounds like. But this WILL force us to a new way of percieving ourselves, one that even Eckhart can’t think of.

Myrko thanks for the heads up on that I will check it out. I have always appreciated the spirit of Eckhart. His approach is simple and yet very effective for living life.
People are so attached to thoughts, feelings, memories from the past. But the past is dead, forever non-existing, because the only moment is the present moment. So why can’t we just let our “past” experiences wash off of us, like rain off the wings of a bird?
The idea is very great! I watched the videos and I encourage such things.
It’s too bad you’re not posting anymore! :(
This is absolute top notch, and a subject which is very close to my heart.
I actually found this blog randomly through blog catalog, but judging from this article the quality is great!

I just don’t want to think and worry about the past and future. Do you have some effective tips and tricks to be in the present moment as much as possible? Thank You.
At what point does the present moment begin and at what point does it end? What is the span of the present moment? Or is it awareness?
This is very interesting present is in the now but every second its changing then because the moment only lasts a moment.
