He is the Why-Guy: what drives human beings? That was the question Anthony Robbins was asking himself as a young person and he passionately followed the get the best answers. He is one of the best on the "Science of Achievment" and the "Art of Fulfilment". On his talk on TED.com he talks about 6 humans needs :

Needs of the Personality (Achievement):
1. Certainty
2. Variety / Uncertainty
3. Significance
4. Connection / Love
Needs of the Spirit (Fulfilment):
5. Growth
6. Contribution

    Tony Robbins work was clearly influenced by Miltonian hypnosis and NLP. You can easily perceive those language patterns in his works.

    Also, he advertises on Google using the words “Beyond NLP” for a seminar he runs with Cloe Madanes.

    He’s an exceptionally skilled communicator.

    I understand he still gets audiences to walk across fire. The idea is that when you break through a limiting belief in one area of your life, that you will be much more likely to break through limiting beliefs in other areas of life.

    Although I have no basis for believing that’s true, I do know people who have attended his seminar and say they really appreciated that experience. So I’m inclined to believe it’s helpful.
